After awaited by the citizens of Singapore and also the world community, building a lotus flower or lily-shaped in the region Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, finally opened to the public. Iconic building is a museum ArtScience developed by International property company that shaded the Las Vegas Sands Corp..
ArtScience Museum officially opened by Las Vegas Sands Corp. CEO, Mr. Sheldon Adelson. The museum was designed by famous architects who have unique ideas of Moshe Safdie.
"The government of Singapore wanted the iconic building. ArtScience Museum is a new idea which bring art and science," said Moshe, during a press conference in the Theatre Foyer, Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.
The building that has ten "fingers" open it, called by Sheldon Adelson as 'The Welcoming Hand of Singapore'.
"I want to describe the form of hands-on museum. The hands that will welcome the first time when you step on the Marina Bay Sands," said Adelson.
Museum which was done by 700 construction workers that has 21 galleries. There are currently three ongoing exhibits in three galleries until July 2011.
In the exhibition, visitors not only see objects that are historical in the gallery, all the senses come into play. Like the exhibition at the gallery 'Silk Road' that is very interactive. Visitors can see the silk road trade route in ancient cities such as China. The smell of the market and the noise sounds a crowded market traded Asia and the Middle East can be felt by visitors to the exhibition.
Another exhibition of 'Genghis Khan'. Upon entering our galleries like returning to Mongolia during the 13th century. Stunning views of the grasslands of Mongolia and battlegrounds, complete with archaeological artifacts and weaponry of the Mongol Empire of Genghis Khan's legacy. There are demonstrations in the form of role play which shows the use of weapons in a skirmish Mongolia.
Unlike the two other exhibitions that use a mix of technology, in the exhibition 'Shipwrecked' we'll see old stuff is amazing, there are ceramics and beautiful urns exhibited. Gold ceramic sink and found near the island of Belitung, Indonesia is also present in this exhibition.
